The Eagles announced Monday that they’ve signed safety Malcolm Jenkins to a new five-year contract.
Jenkins, 28, was picked for his first Pro Bowl last season after recording 87 tackles and two interceptions and starting all 16 games.
Jenkins signed with the Eagles in 2014 after five seasons with the Saints, who drafted him with the 14th overall pick in 2009. Jenkins has started 95 of 103 career games and has started every game the past two seasons for the Eagles; he played more snaps than any other NFL player last season.
Jenkins has 11 career interceptions. He returned an interception 99 yards for a touchdown last season against the Patriots for his fifth career defensive score.
