Facing Browns reminds Terrell Suggs of past loss to a winless team

The Ravens will host the Browns on Thursday night and they’ll be trying to avoid becoming the first notch on Cleveland’s belt since last December.

That stretch covers 12 games and there are a few members of the Ravens who remember what it’s like to lose to a team with an even longer losing streak. The Dolphins had lost their first 13 games of the 2007 season and 16 straight games dating back to the previous year when they faced the Ravens in December 2007. That streak ended with a 64-yard touchdown pass to Greg Camarillo (pictured) in overtime that gave the Dolphins their only win of the season.

Linebacker Terrell Suggs is one of the Ravens still around from that game and said the memories of it are on his mind heading into Thursday.

“I remember all of us just looking at each other, like ‘did we just lose this m-----f-----?,’” Suggs said, via ESPN.com. “I’m going to talk to guys and use this as a reminder. Remember, it’s all about taking the next step.”

Wide receiver Steve Smith wasn’t on that team, but noted that “our [4-4] record does not indicate that we can overlook anyone” and the fact that they had to come from behind in the fourth quarter to beat the Browns by five points earlier this year should make that point well.
