Browns quarterback Colt McCoy may have a high ankle sprain, and it’s not clear whether he’ll be ready to go this week. If McCoy isn’t ready to go, Jake Delhomme is.
Browns coach Eric Mangini said Delhomme is “back to 100 percent, or as close to 100 percent as anyone is.”
Being 100 percent doesn’t necessarily mean Delhomme would get the start over Seneca Wallace, however, and when Mangini was asked if he was facing a choice between Wallace and Delhomme, Mangini declined to answer.
“I’d like to wait until Wednesday to see how it does shake out in terms of where [McCoy] is,” Mangini said, per the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “That’s really what I’d like to do. We’ll figure it out at that point.”
An unscientific online poll for the Cleveland Plain Dealer shows most Browns fans would prefer Wallace over Delhomme.
