With no team and a stadium deal already in the works, St. Louis figures to become the next leverage piece the NFL uses to chisel money out of other cities.
But Jaguars owner Shad Khan apparently isn’t interested in participating in that process.
Khan told Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com last night that he did not see moving his team to St. Louis as a possibility.
The speculation was natural considering Khan grew up in the Midwest and he tried to buy the Rams previously.
But Khan has also pumped a good portion of his own money into the Jacksonville market, and is enjoying the revenue bump that comes with his team’s annual jaunt to London. He’s put $76 million of his own cash into renovations at EverBank Field and a planned indoor practice facility and amphitheater next door.
