Lions quarterback Jared Goff was asked today if he has given any thought to retiring. He said that’s not even close to a consideration.
“No, I’m right in the middle of it. No, I haven’t,” Goff said.
Goff said he believes he has many, many years ahead of him of being a starting quarterback, and he would only walk away when “I don’t think I can help a team win a championship.”
“I think that’s going to be a long time,” Goff added.
The 31-year-old Goff is in his sixth training camp in Detroit and has now been a Lion longer than he was a Ram. Heading into his 11th season, he thinks he has many more good seasons ahead of him.
