Cowboys tight end Jason Witten has caught the 1,000th pass of his career.

Witten entered tonight’s game in Washington with 998 career catches, and reached the 1,000-catch club in the second quarter.

It’s the second day in a row that the NFL’s 1,000-catch club has welcomed a new member. Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald caught the 1,000th pass of his career on Sunday. Witten, Fitzgerald and Hines Ward are currently in a three-way tie for 10th place in NFL history, all with exactly 1,000 career catches.

Witten’s catch helped the Cowboys get into field goal range and take a 3-0 lead in the second quarter.
