Saints linebacker Junior Galette has had a busy offseason.
In addition to the pectoral injury that he’s currently rehabilitating and a restructured contract, Galette was also arrested in January on domestic violence charges. Those charges were dropped a month later after further investigation, but Galette still faces a civil suit related to the matter although the plaintiff’s lawyer dropped her as a client. He’ll also be meeting with the NFL later this month to discuss the arrest, although Galette said Wednesday that things will work out in his favor.
“As far as the news, it’s been good news ... it didn’t really look good on her part as the case got thrown out before it even got to court,” Galette said, via the New Orleans Times-Picayune. “Everything looks good and we’ll find out at the end of the month.”
Despite his optimism about how things will play out, Galette also apologized to Saints fans for the off-field issue and said that he hopes to be on the field in time for the preseason schedule.
