LSU MVP Harry Coleman among Saints’ undrafted free agents

LSU’s Harry Coleman moved from safety to linebacker last year and ended up being selected as the Tigers’ MVP after a 2009 season in which he recorded 82 tackles, nine tackles for loss, four sacks and three forced fumbles. But he wasn’t drafted over the weekend.

The good news is that Coleman will still get an opportunity to prove himself in the NFL, and he won’t have to go far from home to do it. Coleman was among the undrafted free agents signed by the Saints following the draft.

The full list of undrafted free agents heading to New Orleans also includes linebacker Jason Beauchamp, wide receiver Chris Bell, running backs Carlos Brown, Christian Ducré and Chris Ivory, guards Brandon Carter and Joe Tonga, defensive ends Junior Galette and Brandon Sharpe, long snapper Clint Gresham, safety Ryan Hamilton, defensive tackle Jay Ross and cornerback Marcell Young.
