The Percy Harvin trade has created a bunch of different story lines and angles. Including whether and to what extent former Seahawks teammate Marshawn Lynch reacted negatively to the news.
A report over the weekend suggested that Lynch almost didn’t get on the team bus. Lynch’s agent, Doug Hendrickson, has called that report “absurd.” Now, a member of the organization (technically) has confirmed that Lynch was on the bus.
Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon, who serves as an analyst on the radio broadcast of Seahawks games, provided the definitive answer to Doug and Wolf of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.
"[H]e was on the bus,” Moon said, “and he was on the bus before a lot of the other coaches.”
On the bus or not, Lynch wasn’t thrilled with the news that was given to the players on Friday afternoon, after a week’s worth of practice time with Percy Harvin on the roster.
“Marshawn was a little upset that Percy got traded because those two had become pretty close, because Marshawn tried to help Percy through some of his problems,” Moon said.
It’s hard to know how any of the players currently feel about the situation, because the Seahawks do a very good job of keeping things under wraps. It’s possible that players like Lynch will remain upset -- especially if the losses continue for a team that surprisingly sits at 3-3.
