With Tom Brady’s #DeflateGate suspension upheld today, the NFL has sufficient cover for any other announcements they want to make, guaranteeing they won’t get as much attention.
The first of those also impacts the AFC East.
According to Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News, the league will take no action against Bills running back LeSean McCoy for his role in a February nightclub fight.
That seemed like the logical next step, after local authorities and the Pennsylvania attorney general took a look at the case and refused to press charges. The league isn’t bound by the legal system in such cases, and can announce punishment without charges.
But in this case, it seems they haven’t, clearing the way for the Bills to have their bell-cow running back from the start of the season, which includes a game against the Brady-less Patriots on Oct. 2.
