Panthers have some interest in Packers defensive tackle B.J. Raji
Panthers General Manager Dave Gettleman can’t get enough big bodies, but he’s not in a hurry to get one.
According to David Newton of ESPN.com, the Panthers have some interest in Packers free agent defensive tackle B.J. Raji, though there’s no indication he’s heading in for a visit or anything soon.
The Panthers brought former Falcons nose tackle Paul Soliai for a visit, but he left without a contract.
The Panthers are looking for some depth behind starters Kawann Short and Star Lotulelei, having released veteran Dwan Edwards.
Raji, a former first-rounder, has struggled with injuries of late, and the Packers held onto defensive tackle Letroy Guion. With Raji about to turn 30 this offseason, the Packers might be prepared to let him walk.
