The Patriots are apparently in the market for players with questionable football futures, that others are scared of.

In addition to signing a third quarterback, they brought in former Colts wide receiver Austin Collie for a workout, according to Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com.

Between a ruptured patellar tendon and three concussions, he’s missed 22 games the last three years. But he said recently he’d do whatever it took to get back on the field, and was confident he would get a chance.

If you’re in the mood to take a chance, he’s worth a look. His medical file is going to scare off many teams, and should perhaps scare him away from the game.

But that doesn’t appear to be the case.
