Quinn will visit specialist about Lisfranc injury

New Browns Poobah Mike Holmgren says Brady Quinn won’t require surgery on his foot, but Quinn is seeing a specialist Tuesday, according to Mary Cay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

It’s believed Quinn has the dreaded “Lisfranc” sprain, which has replaced the dreaded high ankle sprain as the most dreaded lower leg injury in football.

It’s a very difficult injury to get over during the regular season, but Quinn has time on his side. Then again, he’ll want to get back on the field as early as possible in the spring to impress the new bosses.

Eric Mangini didn’t always show a lot of faith in Quinn during the 2009 season, but perhaps his new G.M. and team president will feel differently about him.
