Kamar Aiken had to play a bigger role than anticipated for the Ravens last year, but he played well enough to make them hang onto him.
Now, they have his name on a contract.
Via Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun, the wide receiver has signed his restricted free agent tender.
The Ravens put the second-round tender on Aiken, worth $2.553 million, rather than risk losing the former undrafted rookie without compensation.
Aiken caught 75 passes for 944 yards and five touchdowns last year, when he was nearly the last wideout standing for the Ravens. That role will likely diminish this year with Steve Smith and Breshad Perriman back from injuries and the addition of Mike Wallace, but Aiken showed last year he could produce when called upon.
