The Cleveland Browns are still working toward filling out a coaching staff under new head coach Mike Pettine.
According to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com and Sirius XM NFL Radio, the Browns are hiring Jimmy Raye and George DeLeone to join Pettine’s staff.
Raye will serve as a senior offensive assistant while DeLeone will be an assistant offensive line coach.
Raye - a former offensive coordinator for seven NFL teams - will join the Browns after last serving as an offensive assistant for Greg Schiano on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coaching staff. Prior to Tampa Bay, Raye had not been employed in the league since being fired as the San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator in September 2010.
DeLeone has spent the last three years as an assistant at the University of Connecticut. DeLeone has two prior stints coaching in the NFL. He served as the tight ends coach with the Miami Dolphins from 2008 to 2010 under head coach Tony Sparano. He was also the offensive line coach for the San Diego Chargers in 1997.
