Rod Hood To Visit Lions

Veteran unrestricted free agent cornerback Rod Hood has been busy searching for a new job. Hood is scheduled to visit the Detroit Lions on Monday, according to Steve Wyche of NFL.com. Last week, Hood also took meetings with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns. Mike Florio first reported about Hood meeting with the Bengals earlier this month. In 14 starts last season for the Arizona Cardinals, Hood registered 40 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble and 16 pass deflections. He was released after the season. In 2007, Hood intercepted five passes during his first season in Arizona. The former Auburn player spent his first four NFL seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. For his career, Hood has recorded 218 career tackles, 58 pass deflections and 11 interceptions.
