Sam Bradford: I wish I knew how to fix it

Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford acknowledges that he has a problem with slow starts. But he’s not sure what to do about it.

Bradford’s passer rating is 64.5 in the first half of games this season and 97.0 in the second half. Although his overall numbers from yesterday look good (270 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions), most of that came after the Eagles had already fallen behind early in the game. Bradford knows that needs to change.

I wish I knew how to explain it because then we’d get it fixed,” Bradford said after Sunday’s loss in Washington. “It seems to kind of be the story of these first few games. We’re two completely different offenses. Once we get it going, we’re pretty good, but for whatever reason, it seems like there are times we just struggle to get it going.”

The Eagles have to get it going soon, or this has the potential to be a very ugly season in Philadelphia.
