The Seattle Seahawks have signed a pair of players that tried out with the team during the team’s rookie mini-camp this past weekend.

Seattle announced Monday they had signed defensive end Benson Mayowa and tight end Victor Marshall while releasing linebacker Ramon Buchanon.

Head coach Pete Carroll was asked following the conclusion of mini-camp Sunday if anyone had surprised him from the tryout group. While he couldn’t remember his name at the time, Mayowa was one player that stood out to Carroll.

“The kid from Idaho did a nice job. He did a nice job,” Carroll said.

Buchanon had signed with the team as an undrafted free agent.
