As the Steelers defensive line started to lose steam because of age and free agency, they looked outside for help.

They’ve now found it.

According to a tweet from agent David Canter, Chargers free agent Cam Thomas has agreed to a new two-year deal with the Steelers.

The Steelers lost linemen Al Woods to the Titans and Ziggy Hood to the Jaguars, but needed to restock anyway.

The 330-pound Thomas started 10 games for the Chargers last year, but was benched late in the season. This gives him a clean slate, and the Steelers some much-needed new blood.
