As the 2010 season gradually approaches, so too approaches the first Super Bowl to be played in North Texas.
According to Jeff Mosier of the Dallas Morning News, there’s a chance that the total attendance at Super Bowl XLV will exceed the all-time Super Bowl record of 103,985, set at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena 30 years ago.
A final decision on capacity hasn’t been made.
“Could there be in excess of 90,000?” NFL V.P. Frank Supovitz told Mosier. “I suspect so. Will it be in excess of 100,000? We’ll see.”
Surely, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is shooting for at least 103,986.
