Texans kick tires on a couple of quarterbacks

Though the Houston Texans have three quarterbacks under contract, they spent part of Tuesday eyeballing two more.

Per a league source, Colt Brennan and Jarrett Brown tried out for the team on Tuesday.

The intentions aren’t clear, but it could mean that Matt Leinart or Dan Orlovsky are on shaky ground.

The Texans also checked out four receivers: Reggie Brown, Derek Hagan, Dexter Jackson, and Demetrius Williams.

UPDATE: A league source suggests that the quarterbacks were brought in to throw passes to the receivers who worked out. Then again, maybe the receivers were brought in to catch passes from the quarterbacks.
