Texans scout texting Dak Prescott gets a female Saints fan instead

The Texans have been dialing the wrong number looking for quarterbacks as long as they’ve been in business, so this probably shouldn’t come as a surprise.

According to Greg Rajan of the Houston Chronicle, a Texans scout texted a wrong number while looking for information on Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott.

The message was innocuous enough, looking for contact information on draft day and poking around for a little information. But it was received by a young lady named Jessica, who identified herself as an amateur athlete and a Saints fan.

Given the amount of information teams are trying to acquire this time of year, it’s surprising this doesn’t happen more often. And while they just spent a pile of money on Brock Osweiler, the Texans at least want to know where Prescott will be on draft day, which could just speak to a thoroughness not indicated by their fat-fingered approach to dialing phone numbers.
