Tom Brady, Michael Vick lead 2011 Pro Bowl rosters

tombrady

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Eagles quarterback Michael Vick have been chosen as the AFC and NFC starters in this year’s Pro Bowl, the NFL has announced.

The backup Pro Bowl quarterbacks are Phillip Rivers and Peyton Manning for the AFC, and Matt Ryan and Drew Brees for the NFC. We’re sure we’ll hear from many Packers fans complaining that Aaron Rodgers was snubbed.

Maurice Jones-Drew of the Jaguars is the starting AFC running back, with Atlanta’s Michael Turner as the starter for the NFC. The starting receivers are Houston’s Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne of the Colts, Detroit’s Calvin Johnson and Roddy White of the Falcons.

Among the other notable names are Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, an NFC starter as a rookie.

The Falcons had the most Pro Bowlers of any team, with seven. The Patriots were next with six. Surprisingly, the Cowboys had five Pro Bowlers -- which matches the number of wins they’ve had this season. The Seahawks, who still have a chance of making the playoffs, have no Pro Bowlers.
