Vikings cut upper level tickets by 50 percent for Lions, Bucs games

They have a new roof and new turf to use starting with Saturday’s preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys. As the Vikings start the final year of their lease at the Metrodome, they could have a hard time selling all available tickets to the games that will be played there.

The team has posted at its official website a “Special Offer” for the September 18 game against the Buccaneers and the September 25 game against the Lions.

The offer consists of a 50-percent reduction in ticket prices for upper level seats at the stadium for both games.

It’s unknown how many seats remain to be sold. The fact that the team has felt compelled to slash the prices so steeply suggests that the number is far closer to plenty than none.
