Sure, there may be some teams interested in trading for Buccaneers receiver Vincent Jackson. But the Bucs don’t seem to be interested in moving him.
Perhaps more importantly, Jackson has no interest in leaving.
Per a league source, Jackson doesn’t want out. While that doesn’t prevent the Buccaneers from moving him, Jackson’s willingness to change teams surely is a factor in whether a deal gets done.
Jackson, who is earning a base salary of $10 million this year, is due to earn $9.77 million in 2015 and $9.77 million in 2016, the final two years of his deal.
The Seahawks, Patriots, and Eagles have been linked to Jackson. The trade deadline expires on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. ET.
