Von Miller fined for hit on Tom Brady

The Broncos won last Sunday night’s game over the Patriots thanks in part to an overtime sack by Von Miller that helped force a New England three-and-out before C.J. Anderson’s game-winning touchdown run.

That wasn’t the only time in the game that Miller hit Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, however, and a previous run-in led the league to fine the Broncos linebacker this week. Miller has been fined $8,681 for hitting Brady after Brady went to the ground and was touched down by Broncos defensive tackle Vance Walker in the third quarter.

“They got me. I am going to appeal, though,” Miller said, via the Denver Post.

Miller was penalized for roughing the passer during the game. Roughing normally draws a larger fine, but Miller’s penalty is in line with league discipline for late hits.
