Free agent CB C.J. Moore was reinstated from his season-long suspension for violating the league’s gambling policy and is free to sign with any team.
Moore was one of several players suspended last season for violating the league’s gambling policy. He was released by the Lions shortly after the suspension was handed down and had signed a two-year, $4.5 million contract a month before. Moore has played primarily on special teams and has just 345 defensive snaps to his name over the first four years of his career. In addition to Moore, the league also reinstated WR Quintez Cephus, DL Demetrius Taylor, EDGE Shaka Toney, and LB Rashod Berry.

    Colts waived DB Isaiah Rodgers.
Rodgers was handed an indefinite suspension for betting on NFL games and was let go shortly after the penalty was handed down. The former sixth-round pick will miss at least the 2023 season but could be forced to sit out longer, given his violation of league rules. His teammate, Rashod Berry, was also let go by the team after he received the same indefinite suspension as Rodgers. Rodgers could eventually catch on with a team once reinstated, while Berry hasn’t appeared in a regular season game since 2021.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Colts kick returner Isaiah Rodgers has received an indefinite suspension for violating the league’s gambling protocol.
Rodgers and his teammate, Rashod Berry, have both been hit with indefinite suspensions that will amount to a minimum of one year. Free agent defensive tackle Demetrius Taylor was also hit with the same indefinite suspension. While we knew a suspension was coming for Rodgers, Berry, and Harvey were two of the players who had yet to be named as rumors of incoming suspensions mounted. Their indefinite suspension comes after it was determined they bet on NFL games, which is a clear violation of the league’s policy. Rodgers was a key contributor to the Colts’ special teams unit last season, while Berry and Taylor have appeared in a combined nine games since 2021.
  • Defensive End
Ohio State redshirt senior TE Rashod Berry has accepted an invitation to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
Berry (6'4/260) missed several games with undisclosed injuries this season, catching only two passes for 20 yards in total. Jeremy Ruckert and Luke Farrell eclipsed Berry in playing time, rendering him to backup status. For his career, he played in 17 games, catching 17 passes for 198 yards and four touchdowns. He will likely try to catch on as a UDFA camp invitee who is best suited for blocking work.
  • Defensive End
Ohio State redshirt senior TE Rashod Berry (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision for Saturday’s game against Michigan State.
Looks like we’ll have to wait Berry’s status out until Saturday evening. The 6-foot-4, 260-pound redshirt senior has just one catch on the campaign. Luke Farrell and Jeremy Ruckert will lead the way at tight end versus MSU this weekend regardless of whether or not Berry manages to see the field.
  • Defensive End
Ohio State redshirt sophomore DE Rashod Berry could be utilized as a tight end at times during the coming season.
Berry as an offensive option was not something that the Buckeyes had been planning for, but with backup TE A.J. Alexander suffering a season-ending knee injury while playing basketball earlier this month, desperate times could call for desperate measure. This wouldn’t be a cold transition, though. The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Berry actually began his career with the Buckeyes as a tight end before OSU shifted him to defense. Just how heavily HC Urban Meyer might utilize him in that capacity for the coming season won’t be clear until August camp kicks off. Marcus Baugh is locked in as the team’s starter.
  • Defensive End
Ohio State redshirt senior TE Rashod Berry (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against FAU.
Berry (6'4/260) is one of several Buckeyes who was nixed on Friday’s team status report, as it has not been the healthiest of preseason camps in Columbus. Ohio State notoriously underutilized its tight ends with Urban Meyer at head coach. We’ll be curious to see whether Ryan Day sticks on that same path. As for who is healthy enough to see the field this weekend, Luke Farrell, Jeremy Ruckert and Jake Hausmann cracked the Week 1 position depth chart in that order.
