Baltimore expects to be $20 million under the salary cap.
They should be able to re-sign their key players and make a big splash on offense. Look for Baltimore to be active courting Muhsin Muhammad, Plaxico Burress, T.J. Houshmandzadeh and other top wideouts.

Ravens fired offensive line coach Jim Colletto yesterday.
Bad vibes in Baltimore. Colletto wanted consideration for the open offensive coordinator position and didn’t get any.

The Ravens reportedly offerered former University of Illinois coach Ron Turner their offensive coordinator position Friday.
Turner is the favorite of the Ravens and Bears and should make a decision soon. Baltimore has also interviewed Rick Neuheisel and Saints QB coach Mike Sheppard.

Jim Fassell is considering taking Baltimore’s offensive coordinator job.
He wants a head coaching gig, but isn’t likely to find one. Baltimore has to be worried about him leaving after one season.
  • BAL Offensive Team
Jim Fassell will be the next offensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens.
Rick Neuheisel is expected to become the team’s quarterbacks coach. Can’t be bad news for the Baltimore passing attack. Look for them to invest heavily in a wide receiver this offseason.

The Ravens signed coach Brian Billick to a multi-year contract extension.
Terms weren’t announced, but it’s believed to be worth $4.5 million a year, just below the highest paid coaches in the league. Billick has an excellent 52-35 record and remains one of the best interviews in football.

Deion Sanders, 37, is reportedly considering coming out of retirement to play nickel back for the Baltimore Ravens.
Prime Time last played in 2000. The 37 year-old would play behind Chris McAllister and Gary Baxter if he returned. The Ravens aren’t saying anything yet, but their top heavy secondary is the greatest weakness of their defense right now.

Ravens fired QBs coach Jim Zorn.
Joe Flacco continued to progress as a passer in 2010, but Zorn didn’t fit in well with coach John Harbaugh and coordinator Cam Cameron. He could land with the Raiders considering his history with OC Al Saunders and QB Jason Campbell. Cameron, who has had a hand in the developments of Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, and Flacco, will take on more responsibility with the Ravens quarterbacks.

CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora mentions Jim Zorn and Raiders senior offensive assistant Al Saunders as potential candidates for the Ravens’ offensive-coordinator vacancy.
Both men have previous working experience with Joe Flacco. Zorn was the Ravens’ QBs coach in 2010 but was fired over philosophical differences with then-OC Cam Cameron. Flacco was legitimately angry about Zorn’s firing. Saunders served as an offensive consultant in Baltimore from 2009-2010. ESPN Ravens blogger Jamison Hensley calls Zorn the “intriguing candidate.”

Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron has attended Senior Bowl practices this week with the rest of the Ravens’ staff.
Rightfully, there has been speculation that Cameron would bet let go after a rocky 2011 season. Both the Carroll County Times and Baltimore Sun, however, have reported that Cameron has a good chance to stay on. It is worth noting that Cameron’s contract has expired, so the sides would need to do a new deal.
