DE Renaldo Wynn will be a participant at Redskins’ minicamp.
A fractured arm brought Wynn’s 2005 season to a close late in the year. He won’t start in ’06, but figures to be a key reserve at either defensive end or tackle.
  • WAS Defensive Lineman
Redskins DT Renaldo Wynn (ankle) has been downgraded to doubtful.
Much of the Washington defense is hurting right now. Wynn was slated to be a key part of an aging rotation at defensive end.
  • FA Wide Receiver #89
Redskins players Santana Moss, Mark Brunell, Philip Daniels, Renaldo Wynn, Marcus Washington, Randy Thomas, and Shawn Springs have all been fully cleared for training camp.
All except Wynn and Brunell are starters, so its welcome news for coach Joe Gibbs. Moss had a minor hip ailment during minicamps and OTAs. Washington and Springs are coming off surgeries and may practice once-a-day in camp.
  • WAS Defensive Lineman
Saints signed DE Renaldo Wynn to a one-year contract.
Wynn replaces Rob Ninkovich as New Orleans’ third end. While he is not a dangerous threat as a pass rusher, Wynn adds versatility and experience behind starters Will Smith and Charles Grant. After Thursday night’s affair, the Saints can use as much help on their defense as they can muster.
  • WAS Defensive Lineman
    Redskins released DL Renaldo Wynn.
Wynn was a team leader and his release comes much later than other veterans Lemar Marshall and Joe Salave’a. Wynn expects to keep playing.
  • WAS Defensive Lineman
Free agent DE Renaldo Wynn is expected to visit the Saints.
The Saints are obviously interested in upgrading their depth at end, also meeting with Kenard Lang late last week. Wynn can play inside and out.
  • NO Defensive Lineman
Saints coach Sean Payton said a rare form of pneumonia put DT Brian Young in the hospital over the weekend and that he is likely out for Week 16.
Payton did not indicate when Young would return or if he would be placed on the injured reserve list. Veteran Renaldo Wynn replaced him against the Cardinals, but the Saints could use several players to fill the void of the active Young.
  • CHI Defensive Lineman
Saints DE Charles Grant (ankle) will not play in Week 10.
The Saints considered using Grant in certain situations, but have decided instead to rest him against the 0-8 Rams. New Orleans’ depth at end behind Grant and Will Smith is poor, so St. Louis’ offensive attack as a whole gets an improved fantasy matchup. Either Renaldo Wynn or Josh Cooper will fill in.
  • WAS Defensive Lineman
The Redskins will re-sign free agent DE Renaldo Wynn this week, according to NFL.com’s Jason La Canfora.
Wynn is needed with Phillip Daniels attempting to play through a fully torn biceps and only raw rookie Jeremy Jarmon behind him on the depth chart.
  • WAS Defensive Lineman
    Redskins re-signed DE Renaldo Wynn.
Wynn, 35, will move into the fourth end role behind Andre Carter, Phillip Daniels, and rookie Jeremy Jarmon. With Daniels nursing a torn biceps and likely to lose strength, a rotation at left end is likely going forward.
