ESPN’s Kevin Seifert reports the Vikings confirmed Rondale Moore (knee) will be placed on injured reserve and miss the 2025 season.
Moore will miss a second consecutive season due to preseason injury, which opens up the bottom of the Vikings wideout depth chart. The Vikings haven’t seem overly impressed with rookie Tai Felton on offense, which means they may need to go out and get a stopgap receiver during Jordan Addison’s early-season suspension. Moore will turn 26 next June, so his career is far from over unless he wants it to be, but he’ll likely be seeking another prove-it contract in 2026.

ESPN’s Kevin Seifert reports Rondale Moore is expected to miss the season with a “pretty significant” left knee injury.
It’s another brutal blow for Moore, who missed all of the 2024 season due to a dislocated right knee injury. Moore exited after the first play of the Vikings’ preseason game against the Texans on a tackle that head coach Kevin O’Connell said had “a lot of the characteristics” of the now-banned hip drop tackle. We’ll likely get official confirmation on Moore’s injury early in the week, but for now, it sounds like the former second-rounder will miss a second consecutive season.

Vikings WR/KR Rondale Moore was carted off the field in preseason Week 1 against the Texans.
Moore had numerous offseason visits before signing with the Vikings as a return specialist and depth at the wide receiver position. He remained down on the sideline holding his leg after a punt return in the second quarter of the team’s first preseason game against the Texans, appearing to be in significant pain. The cart was brought out to take him to the locker room. Further updates will be provided by the team after initial testing is complete.

Vikings signed WR Rondale Moore, formerly of the Falcons.
Moore signs with the Vikings after a free-agency tour took him to several different teams. The 24-year-old was on the Falcons’ roster last season but suffered a knee injury that kept him out the entire season. Prior to being dealt to the Falcons, Moore spent three seasons with the Cardinals and tallied 135 receptions for 1,201 yards and three touchdowns. The Vikings add him as depth to the wide receiver spot, and he will have the chance to take on slot snaps for the team. Moore is a useful target in the shallow area if he can stay healthy for 2025.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports WR Rondale Moore is visiting with the Titans.
Moore has now visited with the Vikings, Bears, Jets and Titans after missing the 2024 season with a knee injury. Entering his age-25 season, Moore is seeking a new team after totaling 135 receptions, 1,201 yards and three touchdowns over three seasons with the Cardinals before departing for the Falcons and never suiting up for a regular season game for Atlanta. He has operated primarily as a slot receiver. The diminutive Moore also had 249 rushing yards and one touchdown during his time with Arizona. Moore would have a path to starter’s snaps in a Tennessee offense without much depth in the wideout room.

Free agent WR Rondale Moore is visiting with the Jets on Tuesday.
He’s now visited the Vikings, Bears, and Jets since last Friday. Moore was carted off in training camp last season with the Falcons and is looking for a fresh start. Entering his age-25 season, it’s still within the band of possibilities that Moore is able to become a good NFL wideout, but he sure didn’t deliver much with the Cardinals in his first three seasons. He’ll be a reclamation project for whoever signs him.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports free agent WR Rondale Moore is meeting with the Bears.
Just days after meeting with the Vikings, Moore will now keep his free agent tour in the NFC North as he prepares to speak with the Bears. After missing all of last season with a knee injury, the former second-round pick is hoping to find a landing spot that will allow him to best utilize his talents in what will likely be a prove-it year. If he catches on with the Bears, Moore would likely compete with Olamide Zaccheaus, who the team signed earlier this offseason, for third-receiver duties.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports free agent WR Rondale Moore is visiting with the Vikings on Friday.
Moore missed all of the 2024 season due to a season-ending knee injury he suffered in training camp. Moore was acquired by the Falcons last season in a trade that sent Desmond Ridder to the Cardinals, but the former second-round pick has underperformed his draft capital since being drafted 49th overall in 2021. Viewed as versatile player in the run and pass game, Moore has caught 135 passes for 1,201 yards and three touchdowns in his career while adding another 52-249-1 on the ground. If Moore joins the Vikings, it would likely be as as a depth piece with a chance to earn a larger role with a strong camp.
  • ATL Wide Receiver #14
Falcons WR Rondale Moore suffered a knee injury in Wednesday’s practice and is out for the season.
Moore was carted off the field on Wednesday sporting an air cast. What appeared to be a bad injury was confirmed on Thursday when the team announced Moore would be out for the season. We don’t know the specifics of the injury, but we will likely know more about that in the coming days. Moore was acquired by the Falcons earlier this offseason in a trade that sent Desmond Ridder to the Cardinals. Moore caught 40 passes for 352 yards and one touchdown last season but was spotted on multiple occasions working with the backups in training camp.

Falcons WR Rondale Moore was carted off the field Wednesday with a leg injury.
Moore was seen wearing an inflatable cast on his injured leg. It would appear Moore will miss an extended period, if not the entire 2024 season after being traded from the Cardinals to the Falcons in the offseason. Ray-Ray McCloud was already running ahead of Moore as Atlanta’s top slot receiver option. McCloud could see a full complement of routes alongside Drake London and Darnell Mooney if Moore is done for the year.
