Raiders signed T Seth Wand, formerly of the Titans.
Wand was once seen as the left tackle of the future for the Texans, but never panned out. He supplies depth with right tackle Cornell Green mending.
  • LV Tackle
    Raiders signed OT Seth Wand.
The Raiders were in need of depth with Khalif Barnes (ankle) potentially out well into the season but Wand, 30, hasn’t started an NFL game since 2004.
  • LV Tackle
    Raiders released T Seth Wand.
Wand missed out on having his $830,000 salary guaranteed for the entire season by a matter of hours. Oakland went with James Marten over him.
  • LV Tackle
Raiders waived OT Seth Wand from injured reserve.
Wand will try to catch on as a backup tackle next offseason.

Raiders placed OT Seth Wand (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season, and re-signed TE John Madsen.
Wand was behind RT Cornell Green and LT Kwame Harris. Madsen will likely leapfrog Ben Troupe and go back to being Zach Miller’s top substitute.
  • FA Tackle #67
Raiders signed OT Stephon Heyer, formerly of the Redskins.
Heyer proved to be backup-caliber at best in Washington, often looking like a turnstile as defensive ends got into the backfield. If he starts games, Jason Campbell is going to feel like he’s back in D.C. The Raiders also re-signed OT Seth Wand.
  • DET Tight End
The Raiders re-signed TE John Madsen after releasing him last month.
Zach Miller is still the only tight end with real fantasy value in Oakland. The team placed OT Seth Wand on injured reserve.
  • LV Tackle
    Texans released T Seth Wand.
It’s a bit of a surprise after Wand practiced with the first team at times in camp. Rookie Charles Spencer will protect David Carr’s blind side, with T Ephraim Salaam being the “swing” tackle. It’s good Houston is going with a youth movement.

NFL Network’s Adam Shefter reports the Texans have moved Seth Wand to guard during their recent on-field drills.
If Wand is moving to guard, it’s uncertain who will be the team’s starting left tackle. Look for the Texans to go hard after free agent tackle L.J. Shelton.
