Shaud Williams could start at running back for the Bills this Sunday.
Williams has not excelled when given double-digit carries the last two games. But with a matchup at San Francisco, Williams becomes the hot fantasy pickup for owners still playing.
  • BUF Running Back
Shaud Williams rushed five times for 46 yards in Buffalo’s preseason opener.
He’s taken the lead in the battle to be Willis McGahee’s backup. Reshard Lee also ran well and remains in the mix.

Bills declared RB Shaud Williams, Constantin Ritzman, OT Dylan McFarland, QB J.P. Losman, CB Jabari Greer, SS Lawyer Milloy, OG Mike Pucillo, RB Shaud Williams, DL Tim Anderson inactive for today’s game.
Losman and Milloy are out indefinitely. Williams is the No. 3 running back.
  • BUF Running Back
As expected, undrafted rookie Shaud Williams made the Bills roster as their No. 3 running back.
Williams will see significant action this season if Travis Henry or Willis McGahee go down to injury.
  • BUF Running Back
Shaud Williams got 10 carries for 42 yards and a touchdown for the Bills today.
He saw additional time today because of the fact that Buffalo was up big and Willis McGahee already had 100 yards and two touchdowns. He’s worth watching, but this is McGahee’s job until further notice.
  • BUF Running Back
Shaud Williams is expected to start today’s game, although Willis McGahee should be available.
We’re not sure how to react to this news. It looks like the Bills will try to get by with Williams, but really anything is possible: Williams getting all the carries or Williams getting none of the carries. That makes him too risky unless you can wait until 4 o’clock and see if the news changes. If it doesn’t, it’s tough to play Williams.
  • BUF Running Back
Shaud Williams replaced starter, Willis McGahee in the second half and had 93 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.
We thought Williams would get the start, but McGahee was able to play.
  • BUF Running Back
Shaud Williams appears to have won Buffalo’s backup running back job.
He entered the game second tonight, carrying nine times for 28 yards. His main competition, Lionel Gates, had three carries for nine yards.
  • BUF Running Back
RB Shaud Williams spelled RB Willis McGahee against the Texans yesterday.
McGahee rushed for 117 yards on 22 carries, but Williams still managed seven carries and two catches.
