Tanner Conner caught 2-of-4 targets for 20 yards in a Week 1 loss to the Colts.
With Darren Waller inactive for Week 1, it was Conner who served as the Dolphins’ top tight end. It didn’t amount to much on the statsheet, but he could be a name to monitor in two-tight-end leagues if Waller continues to miss time.

Tanner Conner caught 3-of-4 targets for 70 yards in the Dolphins preseason game against the Falcons on Friday.
Conner’s 70 receiving yards lead all preseason Week 1 players thus far. The 2022 undrafted free agent warrants dynasty waiver wire consideration after winning one-of-two contested catches, forcing one missed tackle and breaking two explosive, 15-plus-yard pass plays. He played on 14-of-17 first-team snaps, per PFF’s Nathan Jahnke.

Dolphins sign Idaho State WR Tanner Conner.
Conner (6'3/230) was not invited to the Combine, but he showed off his track background at his Pro Day by running a 4.49 40 with a 39-inch vertical and 10-foot-7 broad jump. He never topped 800 yards in a season at FCS Idaho State, but he averaged nearly 18 yards per reception on 127 career catches. Conner is a project but one that comes with an intriguing height-weight-speed profile.
