    Vikings re-signed S Theo Jackson to a two-year, $12.615 million contract extension.
It’s good money for Jackson who was set to be a restricted free agent. Jackson joined the Vikings in 2022 as a rookie after being signed off the Titans’ practice squad and has appeared in 43 games for the Vikings since then. For his career, Jackson has totaled two interceptions, four pass breakups and 47 tackles. He has yet to make a start, but now that he’s under contract through 2027, Jackson could have a chance to see an increased role this upcoming season with the futures of Cam Bynum and Harrison Smith both up in the air.

Titans selected Tennessee S Theo Jackson with the No. 204 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Jackson (6'1/198) didn’t become a full-time starter until his fifth season with the Vols, but he played well once given extra opportunities. He notched one interception which was returned for a touchdown and was credited with 11 pass breakups. Jackson would go on to earn a second-team All-SEC notice for his performance as a super senior. NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein notes that he has good athleticism for his size and length. He added that Jackson was a locker room leader for Tennessee. The Titans have an elite starting duo at safety, so Jackson will need to prove his worth as a special teams player to make the Titans’ final roster.
