Tim Castille caught a 20-yard touchdown pass in Week 16 against the Bengals.
Castille’s touchdown helped the Chiefs keep pace with the Bengals on Sunday, but he’s a backup fullback and has zero fantasy value.
  • KC Running Back
Chiefs signed FB Tim Castille, formerly of the Cardinals.
Castille is familiar with Todd Haley’s offense from their time together in Arizona. He’s not a threat to Mike Cox’s starting job.
  • KC Running Back
Tim Castille lined up as the Cardinals’ first team fullback over Terrelle Smith yesterday.
Castille added muscle during the offseason while Smith chose not to participate in the team’s offseason workouts, so there’s a chance this is simply depth chart shenanigans.
  • KC Running Back
Cardinals declared FB Tim Castille, NT Alan Branch, QB Brian St. Pierre, OT Elliot Vallejo, OT Brandon Keith, TE Jerame Tuman, DE Bertrand Berry, and WR Anquan Boldin Boldin inactive for Week 5.
The Cards hope Boldin can return in Week 6. Adrian Wilson is playing.
  • The Cardinals extended tenders to exclusive rights free agent C Lyle Sendlein, FB Tim Castille, LB Pago Togafau, and OT Elliot Vallejo.
Vallejo and Togafau are both projects. Sendlein will likely start for a second straight season and be a great bargain. He’ll cost less than $400,000.
  • FA Running Back #44
The Chiefs failed to extend tenders to potential restricted free agents RB Jackie Battle, FB Tim Castille, and OL Ryan O’Callaghan.
All three players will become unrestricted free agents. Battle has managed just 41 attempts in four seasons with the Chiefs, averaging a scant 2.9 yards per. O’Callaghan lost the starting right tackle job to Barry Richardson last season.
  • FA Running Back #42
Mike Cox has been running ahead of Tim Castille as the Chiefs’ starting fullback.
It’s a close battle to see who will be the Chiefs’ lead blocker this season. Castille is the better ball carrier, but the winner of this battle will hardly ever touch the ball anyway.
