    Giants signed OT Tony Ugoh.
Ugoh takes the roster spot of backup tackle Stacy Andrews (injured reserve, illness). He was the Colts’ second-round pick in 2007, but he flamed out quickly due to various injury woes. Ugoh hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2009.

    Chiefs signed OT Tony Ugoh.
The injury-plagued Ugoh made three late-season appearances for the Giants last season and attracted no known interest since. He’ll compete for backup tackle duties behind starters Branden Albert and Eric Winston in Kansas City.

    Chiefs OT Tony Ugoh retired.
A five-year veteran, Ugoh signed with the Chiefs last Thursday, but must not have liked his chances of making the team. A second-round pick of the Colts in 2007, Ugoh made 23 starts his first two years in the league, but saw his past three seasons derailed by injury. He made just 14 appearances after 2008, three of which came for the world champion Giants last season.

Tony Ugoh was working at left guard during the Colts OTA on Thursday.
Ugoh lost his starting left tackle gig to Charlie Johnson last season and only played there when Johnson was hurt. With both position coach Howard Mudd and last year’s starting left guard Ryan Lilja gone, Ugoh is playing guard for the first time in his career. It’s an experiment that could end up paying dividends for the Colts.

Colts placed LT Tarik Glenn on the reserve/retired list.
Despite speculation the 31-year-old wanted more money, he’s done. Charlie Johnson is the leading candidate to replace him, but will face competition from athletic second-round pick Tony Ugoh. It’s a huge blow to the Colts, but some around the game believed Glenn was slightly overrated in later years. Peyton Manning makes his pass protection look better than it is.

Coach Tony Dungy said Tuesday that he thinks Tony Ugoh (shoulder) “will be fine” after sitting out most of the second half Monday night.
Charlie Johnson subbed for Ugoh against the Jaguars and struggled in pass protection at times.

Colts T Tony Ugoh left Monday night’s game with an undisclosed injury.
The severity and actual injury are unknown, as the Colts have not released an official injury statement, but Ugoh has been bothered by a nagging ankle injury this season. His replacement, Charlie Johnson, has already been beaten a couple of times.

Tony Ugoh left Monday night’s game with what coach Tony Dungy said afterward was a “burner.”
He was replaced by Charlie Johnson, who struggled in pass protection. There was some speculation that Ugoh’s injury was related to his past ankle problems, but that’s apparently not the case.

Colts signed second-round T Tony Ugoh to a four-year contract.
Ugoh, a highly athletic lineman from Arkansas, was being looked at as a guard originally by the Colts but may be in the mix to start at left tackle now that Tarik Glenn has retired. The rookie will compete with Charlie Johnson and possibly Jake Scott or Ryan Diem for playing time.
