Raiders signed DT Travis Ivey, CB Terrail Lambert, RB Lonyae Miller, WR Eddie McGee, DT Jamie Cumbie, OT Zach Hurd, G Alex Parsons and DE Carl Ihenacho to reserve/future contracts.
A former undrafted free agent, Ivey appeared in one game for the Browns in 2010. Miller worked out for the Raiders in October, but wasn’t offered a deal. Lambert, McGee, Cumbie, Hurd, Parsons and Ihenacho are all likely to be camp bodies.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen named NT Travis Ivey when asked about players sticking out at offseason workouts so far.
Ivey, 25, is a 6-foot-4, 341-pound nose tackle, and Oakland is looking for an anchor for its new 3-4 fronts. “He’s a big powerful guy inside who has the ability to be a good run-stopping player,” said Allen. “We’ll see where we’re at when we get through camp and see if he’s good enough to make the team.”

    Raiders waived DT Travis Ivey.
Coaches talked up Ivey as a potential answer at nose tackle in Oakland’s new hybrid defense, but he reported to camp out of shape and hadn’t practiced at all. Ivey is going to have to show better commitment to make it in the NFL.

The Bills worked out free agent DTs Travis Ivey and Jay Ross.
With DT Kyle Williams (foot) expected to be sidelined 1-2 weeks beyond the Bills’ Week 7 bye, one of Ivey or Ross could be signed for depth. Ivey appeared in one game for the Browns a season ago, notching a tackle.

Browns signed NT Travis Ivey from their practice squad.
Undrafted out of Maryland, Ivey will back up run-stopper Ahtyba Rubin.

Browns DL Travis Ivey started at left end Sunday in place of Brian Schaefering.
Schaefering still rotated in, but Ivey, who was recently promoted from the practice squad, received most of the playing time. The undrafted rookie recorded one tackle. “He had been doing a good job at practice and he had earned the opportunity,” coach Eric Mangini said. “He did some good things [against the Ravens and] some things that definitely have to be corrected.”
  • FA Running Back
Dolphins waived RB Tristan Davis and DL Travis Ivey.
Davis, undrafted out of Auburn in 2009, was in the mix for kickoff returns with Nolan Carroll, Patrick Cobbs, and Brian Hartline. Carroll, not Cobbs, is now considered the “clear front runner” to win the return job on kickoffs.

    Browns signed NT Travis Ivey.
Ivey, an undrafted free agent out of Maryland, was in Dolphins camp for a stretch. He’ll be a camp body to take the place of Kwaku Danso, who was waived/injured on Tuesday.
  • FA Defensive Back
Browns waived S Larry Asante, DE Clifton Geathers, DB Chris Chancellor, OG Paul Fanaika, DL Travis Ivey, DL Swanson Miller, OL Pat Murray, and DL Brian Sanford.
The early returns on the Browns’ 2010 draft are less than encouraging. Colt McCoy did survive cuts after struggling in August, but Montario Hardesty is done for the year, fifth-rounder Asante showed nothing in camp, and sixth-rounder Carlton Mitchell has shown iffy hands.
