Seahawks CB Riq Woolen (ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Woolen has missed two straight weeks with an ankle injury, though his limited practice to start the week bodes well for his Week 8 return. Fellow cornerbacks Tre Brown (ankle) and Nehemiah Pritchett (ankle) did not practice, keeping the secondary thin to begin the week.
  • SEA Cornerback #22
Seahawks CB Tre Brown (ankle) ruled out for Week 7 against the Falcons.
The Seahawks will be without two cornerback starters for this one, which signals a potential pass-happy shootout. Hopefully, the unit can return to full health for the Seahawks’ Week 8 game against the Bills.
  • SEA Defensive Back #22
Seahawks CB Tre Brown suffered a hand injury in Seattle’s Week 6 game against the 49ers and will not return.
Deemed questionable early in the second half, Brown was later ruled out. He’s been replaced by fifth-round rookie, Nehemiah Pritchett who has arguably played better.
  • SEA Defensive Back #27
Seahawks CB Tariq Woolen (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Woolen looks to be dealing with a hamstring injury entering Week 2. He got off to a good start in Week 1, snagging an interception in the Seahawks’ Week 1 victory. Fellow cornerback Tre Brown (quadricep) was also limited in Wednesday’s practice, though there is no concern yet for the Seahawks secondary. Barring additional news on either player’s injury being worse than initially seen, Woolen and Brown are in good shape to play Week 2 against the Pats.
  • SEA Defensive Back #22
Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said DB Tre Brown has entered concussion protocol.
The Seahawks continue to be bit by the injury bug. Brown played in place of injured cornerback Tariq Woolen in Sunday’s win over the Panthers, but exited with a head injury and will now have to be cleared in time for Week 4’s matchup against the Giants. The Seahawks don’t play until Monday, giving Brown some extra time to get cleared, but Carroll also said Woolen is on track to return in Week 4.
  • SEA Defensive Back #22
Seahawks DB Tre Brown (concussion) will not return to Week 3 against the Panthers.
Seattle entered the game with seven normal starters inactive with injury and have already seen three additional starters depart the game in Week 3. Brown will likely now be faced with clearing the league’s five-step concussion protocol in time to play in Week 4.
  • SEA Cornerback #22
Seahawks activated CB Tre Brown (knee) off the reserve/PUP list.
It was the final day Brown had to be activated, but Brown had “practiced beautifully” according to Pete Carroll last week. The Seahawks are on bye, so Brown will get an extra week of practice before returning to the fold in Week 12. It’ll be interesting to see if the Seahawks think enough of Brown to put him in front of Coby Bryant, Tariq Woolen, or Michael Jackson, all of whom are playing good-to-solid football.

  • SEA Cornerback #22
Seahawks CB Tre Brown (knee, PUP) will not play in Week 10 against the Buccaneers.
Head coach Pete Carroll said Brown has been full go and “practiced beautifully” this week, however, the Seahawks coach said Brown won’t return until after the team’s bye week at the earliest. Brown was placed on injured reserve/PUP at the end of August after suffering a knee injury in November of last season. The former 2021 fourth-round draft pick appears close to a return, but with the Seahawks heading into a Week 11 bye, sitting Brown in Week 10 costs him just one more game over the next two weeks.

  • SEA Cornerback #22
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said CB Tre Brown (knee, PUP) is “still a few weeks away” from returning.
Brown is working his way back from a knee injury that ended his rookie season in November. The second-year corner has been running at full speed but will need a few weeks of practice before he’s cleared. Brown, a fourth-round pick last year, started 3-of-5 games before going down and will upgrade Seattle’s secondary when he returns.

  • SEA Cornerback #22
Seahawks placed CB Tre Brown (knee) on the reserve/PUP list.
Brown hasn’t played since suffering the knee injury at the end of November. This will ensure that he will miss the first four games of the season. Brown played heavily in five games last season as a fourth-round pick before going down against the Cardinals in Week 11, and he figures to be part of the rotation if he comes back with a clean bill of health.
