Jaguars signed CB Tre Flowers to the active roster.
Flowers was part of the practice squad, but with Tyson Campbell now on injured reserve for the next four weeks due to a hamstring, the 29-year-old defender will add to the Jacksonville depth behind the front seven.
  • JAX Safety #38
Jaguars signed S Terrell Edmunds, formerly of the Titans.
Edmunds was traded from the Eagles to the Titans last season and totaled 48 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and one interception while splitting time with the two teams. The former first-round pick was let go by the Steelers after his rookie contract expired at the end of the 2022 season and is now set to play for his third team in two years. He’ll have a chance to provide added depth to the Jaguars’ secondary but is unlikely to be viewed as a starter at this point. In addition to Edmunds, they also signed cornerback Tre Flowers and linebacker Ty Summers.
  • IND Cornerback #37
Falcons signed CB Tre Flowers, formerly of the Bengals, to a one-year contract.
Flowers appeared in 15 games for the Bengals last season but was lightly used on the defensive side of the ball. A former fifth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Flowers carved out a starting role early in his career with the Seahawks, but has seen his snaps diminish in each of the last three seasons. His signing becomes the latest in a slew of additions the Falcons have made to their secondary, as he becomes the fourth defensive back to join the team this offseason.

  • IND Cornerback #37
Free agent CB Tre Flowers visited the Panthers on Tuesday.
Flowers visited Atlanta in March, but his market had gone cold since and the Falcons just brought in Jeff Okudah. Flowers would likely be a depth corner in Carolina if signed. He played in 15 games last season for the Bengals, notching just 171 defensive snaps.

  • IND Cornerback #37
Falcons hosted DB Tre Flowers for a visit.
Flowers appeared in 26 games for the Bengals over the previous season and a half, managing 50 combined tackles, four pass defenses, and two fumble recoveries during that time. He made just one start with the Bengals after beginning his career in a full-time role in Seattle and is likely to be forced to settle for a short-term contract near league veteran minimum.

  • IND Cornerback #37
Bengals re-signed Tre Flowers to a one-year, $1.85 million contract.
Flowers spent part of the 2021 season with the Bengals after being claimed off waivers from the Seahawks in October. During his time with the Bengals, Flowers allowed a receiving line of 12-113-1 on 152 defensive snaps. A former fifth round draft pick, Flowers has struggled in pass coverage as a corner, but entered the league as a safety from Oklahoma State. He’s likely nothing more than a depth signing at this point, but adds value with his versatility.

  • IND Cornerback #37
Bengals claimed CB Tre Flowers on waivers from the Seahawks.
Cincinnati has had problems keeping Trae Waynes healthy outside, and Eli Apple and Darius Phillips aren’t exactly unimpeachable outside corners. Flowers should be a decent fit in a more man-heavy scheme in Cincinnati, but as evidenced by him hitting waivers in the first place, he’s more of a depth player than a major upgrade for the Bengals.

  • IND Cornerback #37
    Seahawks released CB Tre Flowers.
Flowers requested his release after the Seahawks (correctly) assessed he was unplayable, permitting 14/208/1 and 14.9 yards per catch on 16 targets in coverage this year. He at least offers starting experience for whichever franchise throws a dart at him next.

  • IND Cornerback #37
Seahawks selected Oklahoma State DB Tre Flowers with the No. 146 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft.
Flowers (6’3/202) was a 3 ½-year starter in the Cowboys’ secondary, logging eight career tackles for loss with 25 pass breakups and four interceptions and earning first-team All-Big 12 as a senior. A tall, long-armed (33 7/8") straight-line speedster (4.45) with plus ball skills, Flowers lacks man-coverage short-area quickness and struggles as a tackler. Nevertheless, Flowers is worth a developmental look with George Iloka at the highest end of his range of outcomes.

Fifth-round DB Tre Flowers will play cornerback for the Seahawks.
Flowers, who was a safety at Oklahoma State, last played corner in high school. He has the build the Seahawks prefer in their corners, standing in at 6'3/200 with 35-inch arms. Flowers also has excellent straight-line speed (4.45). “He’s got all of the tools that you’re looking for,” coach Pete Carroll enthused. “He’s real long. He’s feet are really quick and light and he’s got terrific speed. And he’s already shown all of the abilities to make the plays by playing safety for all of those years, the tackles, the hits and the plays on the ball and all of that.”
