    Cowboys released K Tristan Vizcaino.
The Cowboys parted ways with Vizcaino on Monday, leaving former USFL kicker Brandon Aubrey as the only kicker on the roster. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the team is “excited” about what they’ve seen from Aubrey so far and said the team is “comfortable going into the season with him.” Vizcaino has appeared in 10 NFL games throughout his career, going 15-for-20 on field goal attempts and 10-for-10 on extra point tries. He’ll likely get another chance to compete for a job in another team’s camp.

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said the team continues its search for a kicker.
Former place kicker Brett Maher remains a free agent after the team failed to extend his contract this offseason, leaving Tristan Vizcaino as the only kicker currently on the roster. “We don’t see the guy we want to (pull the) trigger on, yet,” Cowboys right hand man Stephen Jones said on Monday. It appears that camp competition will be added at some point but the team’s search for their next kicker seems far from over.

    Cowboys signed K Tristan Vizcaino.
Cowboys kicker Brett Maher is heading to free agency and is anything but a sure bet to return to the team after a disastrous Wild Card performance that saw him go one-for-five on extra points against the Buccaneers. Initially signed as an alternative to Maher in the playoffs, Vizcaino could have a shot to win the Cowboys’ kicking job in training camp this offseason. While playing for both the Patriots and Cardinals last year, Vizcaino converted all three of his extra point attempts and both of his field goals.

Cowboys signed K Tristan Vizcaino to the practice squad.
This move comes just days after Brett Maher missed four extra points in the Cowboys Wild Card win over the Buccaneers. The team is expected to go with Maher heading into the Divisional Round against the Eagles, but Vizcaino could be active on game day for added insurance. He spent time with both the Patriots and Cardinals this season, converting all three of his extra points while going two-for-two on his field goal attempts.

Patriots are working out K Tristan Vizcaino.
New England is likely hammering out an emergency list of kickers in case starter Nick Folk -- second in the league last year with 36 field goals -- misses time in 2022. Vizcaino was waived by the Chargers last October after missing five of ten extra point attempts.

    Chargers waived K Tristan Vizcaino.
The Chargers never seemed to fully trust Vizcaino, and he didn’t give them much reason to, as he only converted 10-of-15 extra point tries across six games. Los Angeles brought in former Washington kicker Dustin Hopkins to replace Vizcaino.

  • BUF Kicker #32
    Chargers waived K Mike Badgley.
Badgley barely held onto the Bolts’ job last year then reportedly had a rough training camp. It would appear fourth-year UDFA Tristan Vizcaino has won the job. He made one start for the 49ers in 2020. The Bolts are an intriguing offense for a fantasy kicker, but Vizcaino will not be trustworthy to begin the season. For his part, Badgley will undoubtedly get calls despite his rough recent play.
