Seahawks tendered restricted free agents RB George Holani and S Ty Okada.
The transaction ensures both players will be with the team in 2026 as a qualifying tender applied to an exclusive rights free agent precludes them from negotiating with other franchises. The former undrafted free agent running back carved out a significant role down the stretch for the Super Bowl champs as a change of pace option behind Kenneth Walker following the season-ending injury to Zach Charbonnet, albeit requiring the injury to see regular action beyond special teams. Holani provides meaningful depth, at bare minimum. Also tendered was safety Ty Okada.
  • SEA Free Safety #39
    Seahawks tendered S Ty Okada.
The Seahawks tendered a one-year exclusive rights contract to Okada, keeping him with the team through next season. The soon-to-be 27-year-old safety who made the team as a UDFA in 2023 started 11-of-17 games for the Seahawks in 2025, totaling 65 tackles, six pass breakups, and one interception. He’s also a valuable member on special teams, appearing on a career-high 117 special teams snaps last season, per Pro Football Reference.
  • SEA Linebacker #7
Seahawks LB Uchenna Nwosu (ankle) did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.
Nwosu pops up with a new ankle issue that keeps him out of Wednesday’s practice. Also not practicing was S Ty Okada (oblique), who suffered the injury in Week 12. Both defensive players will need to log some practice time later in the week to have a shot at playing in Week 13.
  • SEA Free Safety #39
Seahawks S Ty Okada was forced from Seattle’s Week 12 game against the Titans with an oblique injury.
A third-year UDFA, Okada has emerged as a first-time starter this season, if not a particularly good one. He was ruled out early against the Titans, boding ill for his Week 13 status.
  • SEA Safety #2
Seahawks placed S Rayshawn Jenkins on injured reserve.
Jenkins was playing through a hand issue including using a club, but the injury appears to have worsened. He will not miss at least four games while on injured reserve. Jenkins has played on every defensive snap for Seattle this year and has a scoop-and-score touchdown to his name. Safety Ty Okada was signed from the practice squad to the active roster in a corresponding move.
