Tyler Johnson caught 3-of-5 targets for 64 yards and a touchdown in the Jets’ Week 8 win over the Bengals.
With Garrett Wilson out again this week and Josh Reynolds on injured reserve, Johnson entered Week 8 as the team’s No. 1 receiver. He managed a measly 15 percent target share but came up clutch multiple times. Johnson had a 34-yard grab in the second quarter that eventually set him up for a 15-yard touchdown on fourth down in the red zone. With the Jets getting their bye in Week 9, Wilson should healthy by the next time the Jets suit up. Johnson will fall out of the fantasy ranks entirely once Wilson is healthy.

Jets WR Josh Reynolds (hip) is questionable for New York’s Week 8 game against the Bengals.
He did not practice on Friday with the hip injury, which is a concerningly quick downgrade. We’re not entirely sure who else to recommend in New York’s pass-catcher room if Reynolds is down — Arian Smith played 91.8 percent of the snaps last week but turned them into just a three-target sacrificial X showing. Tyler Johnson led the team in receiving yardage and might be the play, but only played 25 percent of the snaps in Week 7.

Garrett Wilson (knee) was not seen at Thursday’s practice.
Wilson was held out of Wednesday’s practice and looks like a DNP again today. He is a long-shot to suit up on Sunday. With a Week 9 bye up next, Wilson should be back on the field in Week 10 versus the Browns. Until then, Tyler Johnson and Josh Reynolds will operate as the team’s top wideouts. Neither player is awfully appealing for fantasy purposes.

Garrett Wilson (knee) was not seen at Wednesday’s practice.
Wilson could return for a limited session later today, but all signs point to a DNP for the young wideout. With a Week 9 bye on the horizon, the winless Jets shouldn’t be in a hurry to rush Wilson back to the lineup. Fantasy managers should move forward under the assumption Wilson is out for Week 8. Josh Reynolds, Tyler Johnson, and Mason Taylor each caught three passes last week. Reynolds gets a slight edge over Johnson in the fantasy ranks with Wilson out, but Taylor’s tight end eligibility makes him the best start of the trio.
  • NYJ Wide Receiver #16
Tyler Johnson caught all three of his targets for 60 yards in the Jets’ Week 7 loss against the Panthers.
With Garrett Wilson (knee) sidelined, Johnson led the team with 60 receiving yards. He had the biggest play of the day — a 35-yard catch from Tyrod Taylor in the second half. Arian Smith, Allen Lazard, and Josh Reynolds operated as the three top wideouts for the Wilson-less Jets. It was Johnson who made the big play though despite running just 12 routes. Johnson could be an interesting waiver add this week ahead of a matchup with a beatable Bengals coverage unit.
  • NYJ Wide Receiver #16
Jets declared WR Tyler Johnson, TE Jelani Woods, DT Leonard Taylor, OT Esa Pole, DE Jermaine Johnson, RB Kene Nwangwu, and DB Jarvis Brownlee inactive for Week 4 against the Dolphins.
Johnson appears to be the only surprise after ranking second on the team in snaps through the first three weeks. The Jets take on the 0-3 Dolphins in a battle to avoid the dreaded 0-4 start, but get quarterback Justin Fields back following a one-game absence.
  • NYJ Wide Receiver #16
Tyler Johnson caught 2-of-3 targets for 32 yards in a Week 3 loss to the Bucs.
Johnson was second on the Jets in receiving, but he only had three targets on the day. The one target he didn’t catch was a brutal drop on a fourth-and-15 in the third quarter when the game was still somewhat close. The Jets really have no receivers who are separating themselves other than Garrett Wilson, so perhaps Johnson will emerge into a bigger role. He should be on fantasy waiver wires for now.
  • LA Wide Receiver #18
Rams declared QB Stetson Bennett, WR Tyler Johnson, CB Emmanuel Forbes Jr., OLB Brennan Jackson, OL Justin Dedich, and OL Joe Noteboom inactive for the Wildcard Round against the Vikings.
After filling in for the injured Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua early in the season, Johnson has now been inactive for three of the previous four games for the Rams, with his only active game coming in Week 18 when the Rams rested both Kupp and Nacua. Expect Demarcus Robinson to join the top two receivers from 11-personnel while Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington fill situational roles.
  • LA Wide Receiver #18
Rams declared QB Stetson Bennett, WR Tyler Johnson, RB Cody Schrader, OL Dylan McMahon, and OL Rob Havenstein inactive for Week 17 against the Cardinals.
The Rams will have most of their primary supporting cast for a must-win game against the Cardinals in Week 17. Now in control of their own destiny atop the NFC West, the Rams can ensure a playoff spot with wins in their final two weeks agains the Cardinals and Seahawks.
  • LA Wide Receiver #18
Tyler Johnson caught 3-of-5 targets for 38 yards in the Rams’ Week 9 win over the Seahawks.
Puka Nacua got ejected late in the first half freeing up some routes for LA’s depth receivers. With Jordan Whittington out this week, Johnson was the next man up. He reeled in a 24-yard grab in overtime that led to a Demarcus Robinson game-winning touchdown four plays later. Johnson isn’t on the fantasy radar for Week 10 but is a good depth option for the Rams.
