Giants placed K Graham Gano (neck) on injured reserve.
Gano missed Week 10 with the neck issue. He will now be sidelined for at least the next four weeks. Younghoe Koo, who was cut by the Falcons earlier this year, is the next man up in New York. Koo made both of his field goal attempts and both of his PAT kicks in Week 10.

Giants K Graham Gano (neck) won’t play in New York’s Week 10 game against the Bears.
He didn’t practice all week and is likely questionable for Week 11. Gano will yield way to Younghoe Koo at kicker in Week 10. Koo is a decent streamer against the Bears.

Giants HC Brian Daboll said to “assume it’s going to be Younghoe Koo” kicking in Week 10 against the Bears.
Graham Gano (neck) hasn’t practiced all week and was ruled out. Koo signed with the Giants after being cut by the Falcons following a Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers and is 2-of-3 on field goal attempts this season. Koo isn’t exactly a reliable option, but he makes for a decent kicker streamer against the Bears this week.

Giants K Graham Gano (neck) did not practice Wednesday.
Gano missed a month early in the year with a groin issue. He returned in Week 8 and is 3-of-4 on his field goal tries since being activated from injured reserve. The injury plus a shaky Week 9 will likely be enough for the Giants to sit him for at least a week. Younghoe Koo, currently on the team’s practice squad, would be the next man up.

Giants designated K Graham Gano (groin) to return from injured reserve.
Gano initially went on injured reserve last month with a groin issue. Jude McAtamney took over for him, but was waived this week after multiple missed extra points in Week 7. Gano is nearing a return to kick for the Giants, but Younghoe Koo awaits on the practice squad if he is not ready for Week 8.
  • NYG Kicker #6
Giants signed K Younghoe Koo to their practice squad.
It doesn’t sound like a vote of confidence for the health of incumbent Graham Gano (groin), who kicked through injury on Sunday night. Koo could be the Giants kicker this week against the Chargers in what some are calling “not exactly a smash spot for a kicker” in Jaxson Dart’s season debut.
  • FA Kicker #6
    Falcons released K Younghoe Koo.
Koo’s time with the Falcons comes to a close in his seventh season with the team. His missed 44-yard field goal against the Buccaneers in Week 1 proved costly. The Falcons will now roll with K Parker Romo in his stead. Koo could get a shot elsewhere in the NFL. At 31 years old, he likely still has enough life left in his kicking leg to land a spot on a practice squad.
  • ATL Kicker #6
Falcons K Younghoe Koo will not travel with the Falcons for their Week 2 game against the Vikings.
The team has made a change at kicker following Koo’s missed 44-yard field goal attempt in the closing stages of their loss to the Buccaneers. Falcons signed Parker Romo earlier in the week, who will kick for the team against the Vikings Sunday. We could see Koo released by the Falcons in the coming week.
  • ATL Kicker #37
Falcons signed K John Parker Romo, formerly of the Patriots.
Parker Romo, who lost the Week 1 starting competition in New England this summer, was inked to the Atlanta practice squad two days after Younghoe Koo whiffed on a game-tying fourth quarter kick. Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said Koo would face competition ahead of the team’s Week 2 matchup with the Vikings. Koo, who made two of his three attempts against the Bucs in Week 1, converted a dismal 73 percent of his field goal tries in 2024. He reportedly struggled in training camp and could be out of a job with a rough Week 2 outing. Parker Romo made 11 of his 12 field goal tries last season with the Vikings.
  • ATL Kicker #6
Falcons HC Raheem Morris said the team will try out kickers after Younghoe Koo’s 44-yard miss Sunday.
Koo missed a 44-yard field goal in the waning moments of the team’s three-point loss Sunday, prompting a search for a new kicker. Morris said the team will work out both veteran and young kickers, adding the search does not necessarily mean Koo has lost his job. Even so, Koo was subject to a kicking battle this preseason and the immediate search for other options does not bode well for his job security in Atlanta.
