Pelle will compete with Justin Anderson and Langston Galloway for the final roster spot in Indiana. His advantage on them is that he is eligible for a two-way contract, meaning one of them can take the last spot, while he plays on a two-way. His spot may seem safer, but that means he almost certainly won’t have an impact in fantasy hoops this season.

The Pacers waived Bennie Boatwright, Gabe York and David Stockton to make room. Galloway’s contract is non-guaranteed and the same is likely true for Anderson and Pelle. There are no fantasy implications here.

He was signed to a training camp deal about a month ago but it’s not going to work out. Pelle has spent time with six NBA teams and is a shot-blocking specialist, so he may get a shot with another team prior to the start of the season.

Pelle will be competing for an available two-way roster slot according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. A shot-blocking specialist, Pelle has spent time with five other NBA teams but only has 40 career appearances under his belt.

Pelle missed Wednesday’s game due to a minor illness, and while he was available to play tonight, he didn’t actually touch the floor with Rudy Gobert returning to the rotation. This is the norm — leaves him on the wire.

Under normal circumstances, Pelle’s availability would not be of concern to fantasy managers. However, with backup center Hassan Whiteside (protocols) out and Udoka Azubuike (conditioning) listed as questionable, there could be a few minutes available to Pelle. That being said, there’s no need to even consider picking him up.

You won’t even know he’s gone, as he’s played just 19 minutes for the Jazz thus far.

Pelle has appeared in three games for the Jazz since signing his 10-day but he has played a grand total of 19 minutes. With that said, his status will not affect fantasy basketball.

Pelle just finished up a 10-day stint with the Celtics where he didn’t appear in a game. With Hassan Whiteside questionable for tonight’s game with the Raptors, Pelle could end up playing backup center minutes behind Udoka Azubuike. Throughout his career, Pelle has averaged 2.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 8.5 minutes per game.

The Celtics have eight players in health and safety protocols, including five post players. Pelle played for three teams last year and collectively averaged 1.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in 6.5 minutes per game. He’s not worth rushing to the wire for unless the Celtics decide to give him heavy minutes.
