NBC Sports plans to stream 1,800 hours of the PyeongChang Winter Games, a record number for a Winter Olympics, including a live stream of NBC’s nightly primetime show.
It’s nearly double the amount of hours from Sochi, which streamed about 1,000. More here from NBC Sports PR.
Every second of competition will stream on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app for all 15 sports and 102 events from Feb. 7-25. Practice sessions for some sports will also stream, including figure skating.
NBC will also air three digital-only shows.
“Gold Zone” is a daily recap of competition from 12-2 p.m. ET (PyeongChang is 14 hours ahead of New York).
“Olympic Ice” is a figure skating review show.
“Off the Post” will be a live hockey studio show airing after the last game of each day.
Competition begins Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. ET with the Olympic debut of mixed curling (preliminary round). The Opening Ceremony is Feb. 9, followed by medal events starting Feb. 10.
