20-year-old American Sage Kotsenburg made history earlier this morning by winning the first Olympic gold medal in snowboard slopestyle.
Shortly after taking the top step of the podium alongside silver medalist Staale Sandbech of Norway and bronze medalist Mark McMorris of Canada, Kotsenburg expressed his joy over the result with an exuberant tweet:
WOW!! I just won the Olympics!! Bringing back the first Gold here to the USA! Love seeing all the support from everyone YOU RULE!!
