The Usain Bolt-Justin Gatlin rivalry will be one of the biggest across all sports going into the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Their first race together came 10 years ago at the 2005 World Track and Field Championships in Helsinki, Finland, in the 200m final.

Bolt, then 18, looked in decent shape coming around the curve before pulling up (with a reported leg injury) and slowing to finish in last place in 26.27 seconds.
Gatlin, then 23 and coming off 2004 Olympic and 2005 Worlds 100m titles, led an unprecedented U.S. 200m sweep of places one through four with silver medalist Wallace Spearmon, bronze medalist John Capel and Tyson Gay. Spearmon and Gay also made the 2015 World Championships.
Capel is best known for going into the 2000 Olympic 200m final as arguably the favorite, rocking back in the blocks and finishing in last place. He also was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the seventh round in 2001 but never played in a regular-season game.
After the race, it appeared that Bolt was the first runner to congratulate Gatlin.
From 2005, Bolt would go on to earn 200m silver at the 2007 Worlds and then gold at the 2008 Olympics, 2009 Worlds, 2011 Worlds, 2012 Olympics and 2013 Worlds.
Gatlin would fail a drug test in 2006, serve a four-year doping ban and not face Bolt again until 2011.
