The backup tackle was scheduled to hit exclusive rights free agency. Brown saw significant playing time in just one game last season.

Culver played 62 games with the Dolphins from 2008-2011. He was also with the team in training camp, so he’s familiar with Kevin Coyle’s defense. Brown played 16 games with the Vikings last season and will add depth with Jake Long out. DB Anderson Russell was waived in a corresponding move.

The former undrafted free agent out of UCF originally signed with Carolina in 2009. He returns after spending time with multiple clubs over the past few seasons. He’ll serve as depth along the offensive line.

Loadholt is simply dealing with some tendinitis. He should be active for what could be Christian Ponder’s first career start this Sunday. If not, Patrick Brown will get the start at right tackle.

He will undergo NFL-mandated testing to determine his status for Week 7, and backup Joe Berger has replaced him tonight. RT Phil Loadholt (knee) has also left the game and is questionable to return. Pat Brown has replaced Loadholt, as the Vikings’ line is crumbling amidst a 33-10 route midway through the third quarter.

The Dolphins want some of the above players back, but weren’t willing to pay the cost of the lowest possible tender. Moore, 25, caught six passes for 116 yards and a touchdown last season. Amaya and McCann play special teams.

Brown has been a mainstay on the Dolphins’ inactives report all season. He’ll be replaced by Matt Kopa, who was signed off the 49ers’ practice squad.

The Vikings are apparently going to kick swing tackle Ryan Cook inside to right guard, replacing Anthony Herrera (torn ACL). Brown shouldn’t see any playing time behind LT Bryant McKinnie and RT Phil Loadholt.

The 23-year-old just narrowly missed out on being a part of Minnesota’s 53, as the Vikes went for the higher draft pick in Ryan Cook. Brown will work as a developmental prospect in New York behind RT Damien Woody.

Brown should be good for a little intel, at least, leading up to Sunday’s Fins-Jets showdown. He’ll probably be among Miami’s eight inactive players.
