PJ Hall (ankle) has undergone season-ending surgery to address a fractured right ankle.
Hall suffered the injury while playing for the Hornets’ G League affiliate in the first round of the league playoffs. His absence does not affect Charlotte’s frontcourt rotation, but it may affect his availability for summer league play.
  • CHA Center #16
PJ Hall (ankle) is out for Thursday’s game against the Suns.
Hall’s absence does not affect fantasy basketball, as he is not in the Hornets’ rotation on most nights. With the injury being a fractured ankle, he’s likely played his last basketball of the season.
  • CHA Center #16
PJ Hall recorded a double-double on Wednesday with 11 points (3-of-7 FGs), 10 rebounds and one steal against the Hawks.
The second-year center out of Clemson has been out of the rotation for the past month, but with Moussa Diabaté suspended, he was able to play 17 minutes off the bench. He took advantage of the opportunity and recorded the first double-double of his career. With Diabaté set to be sidelined for three more games, Hall should continue to get the chance to be part of the rotation.
  • CHA Center #11
Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow) is probable for Saturday’s game against the Jazz.
After ten consecutive games on the sidelines, Kalkbrenner could be back in the lineup on Saturday. His availability affects Moussa Diabaté the most, as he has been the replacement in the starting lineup. Due to Kalkbrenner’s missed time, Diabaté may get another start on Saturday, but his minutes would decrease. Also, PJ Hall may fall out of the rotation entirely.
  • CHA Forward #14
Moussa Diabaté (wrist) is probable for Wednesday’s game against the Raptors.
Diabaté returned to action after a two-game absence on Monday, playing 29 minutes as the starting center in a blowout win over the Thunder. PJ Hall has taken on the backup center responsibilities, as Charlotte is without Ryan Kalkbrenner and Mason Plumlee.
  • CHA Forward #14
Moussa Diabaté (wrist) and Tidjane Salaün (ankle) are probable for Monday’s matchup with the Thunder.
Diabaté is on track to return following a two-game absence, and he could slot back in as Charlotte’s starting center, pushing PJ Hall to the bench. Salaün is back in action after one game on the sideline, and he could handle his usual allotment of minutes in the Hornets’ rotation.
  • CHA Forward #14
Moussa Diabaté (wrist) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Thunder.
Diabaté has missed Charlotte’s last two games with a sprained right wrist. With Ryan Kalkbrenner and Mason Plumlee already out, the Hornets turned to PJ Hall to fill the void at the center position. He’ll get another start if Diabaté cannot return on Monday.
  • CHA Center #11
Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow) and Moussa Diabaté (wrist) have been ruled out against the Bulls on Saturday.
With Mason Plumlee (groin) out until at least February, Charlotte will play this game without a true center. PJ Hall played 19 minutes as a starter on Friday, while Tidjane Salaün played 22 minutes off the bench and was more productive. Both will play significant roles once again.
  • CHA Center #16
LaMelo Ball, Kon Knueppel, Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges and PJ Hall will start Friday’s game against the Bucks.
Bridges is back after missing Wednesday’s loss to the Warriors, and his return means that Collin Sexton will head to the bench. The other change is Hall, who makes his first career start due to injuries to Ryan Kalkbrenner, Moussa Diabaté and Mason Plumlee. Out of sheer necessity, Hall is worth considering as a deep-league streamer.
  • CHA Forward #14
Moussa Diabaté (wrist) is out for Friday’s game against the Bucks.
Diabaté injured his wrist during Wednesday’s loss to the Warriors. While he remained in the game after getting taped up, he will not be able to go on Friday. PJ Hall will play rotation minutes out of necessity, but he is not worth the streaming risk.
