    Patriots waived WR Kristian Wilkerson.
Kicker Quinn Nordin and defensive back Tae Hayes were also waived. Wilkerson bounced between the Pats’ practice squad and active roster during the 2020 and 2021 seasons. He did not play in 2022 after being hospitalized with a head injury during training camp. He was placed on injured reserve after the incident, ending his season before it began. He will look to find a home as a depth receiver and special teams contributor in the spring.

  • FA Kicker (FG)
    Patriots waived K Quinn Nordin.
Nordin landed on injured reserve because of an abdominal injury early in the season. He is now healthy enough to return, but he was pipped by veteran Nick Folk, who has connected on 31-of-34 field goal attempts this year. Easily the highest-scoring kicker in fantasy this season, Folk will remain a good option the rest of the way.

  • FA Kicker (FG)
Patriots placed K Quinn Nordin on injured reserve with an abdominal injury.
Nordin missed Week 1 and will now miss at least the next three weeks. Nick Folk is on the practice squad and will handle kicking duties moving forward.

  • FA Kicker (FG)
ESPN’s Field Yates reports rookie undrafted free agent Quinn Nordin has won the Patriots’ kicking job over Nick Folk.
It is eye-brow raising, as Nordin was just a 72.4 percent field goal kicker in the Big 10, converting just 2-of-5 tries in 2020. He never finished above 80 percent in Ann Arbor. He must have a big leg. We frankly don’t know. With Mac Jones winning the Patriots’ quarterback job over Cam Newton, the Pats’ offense might be more in the touchdowns business this season, at least putting Nordin on the streaming radar.
